Timed Bomb

I mean, timed island. As I was going on Poptropica, I came across something that made gasp. ‘Tis this:

So, they’re going to count how much it is ’till the next island? Well, that’s nice. But why can’t they, I don’t know, count OTHER important events. Like, um, my birthday, Christmas, my birthday, Easter, my birthday, Halloween, and my birthday are just a few of the holidays that should be counted. By the way, my birthday is June the 28th. xD

An Interveiw With… Captain Crawfish! ARR!!!

Neat Comet: Hey Captain Crawfish!  We meet again!

Captain Crawfish: ARRR!  We do meet again!

Neat Comet:  Why is your name “Captain Crawfish”???

Captain Crawfish:  ‘Cause I like crawfish. *GRUNT*

Neat Comet:  Did you know that a crawfish is also called a “Mudbug”???

Captain Crawfish:  REALLY???

Neat Comet:  Yeah, really.   I learned that from my teacher!

Captain Crawfish:  ARRgh!  I think I’m gonna throw up….. 😳

Neat Comet:  You’ll get used to it! 😀

~Neat Comet: I’m going on a vacation, so I can’t post for a while. Yeah, it’s SUMMERTIME!

The 20 Rarest (at least they are supposed to be) Items In Poptropica

Here’s a bunch of posts from the Poptropica Creators’ Blog naming the 20 items that are supposed to be the rarest in Poptropica.

The 20 rarest items in Poptropica

Good news, everyone: Shrink Ray Island launches on June 30!

It’s hard to believe, but Shrink Ray Island will be the 20th Poptropica Island. That’s a lot of adventures — lots of characters to meet, foes to battle, and items to collect.

In the time since we introduced Early Poptropica, some items have been harder to find than others. To celebrate our 20th Island, we’ll be counting down the 20 rarest items in Poptropica. How many of these rare items do you have in your inventory?

20. Brain Hat

The cell phone on Nabooti Island holds many secrets. If you dial 411 and then make a call, you’ll find yourself with all the information you could ever need!

19. Viking Suit

The Viking Suit is tucked away in the upper righthand corner of the Viking time period on Time Tangled Island. It’s not necessary to complete the quest, so some Poptropicans missed it. To get the Viking Suit, equip the glider from Leonardo’s workshop, and then glide from the Viking mountain until you land on the ledge with the suit.

18. Multiverse

It’s the priciest item in the Poptropica Store, but the most versatile. With the Multiverse, you can create your own room and invite your real-life friends to chat and battle.

17. Nabooti Mask

To celebrate the launch of Nabooti Island, we hid this mask somewhere on Spy Island for a short period of time. This isn’t the only treasure hunt item that will show up on this countdown!

Tomorrow, we’ll count down the next four items!

The 20 rarest items in Poptropica, part 2

To celebrate the launch of our 20th Island, Shrink Ray Island, we’re counting down the 20 rarest items in Poptropica history.

16. Astro-Knights Medallion

Astro-Knights is one of the toughest Islands we’ve made, so it’s no surprise that not many Poptropicans have this medallion in their inventory. But it’s not out of reach! All you need is a little perseverance.

15. Goofy Glasses

Another treasure hunt item, the goofy glasses were briefly available in the sewers of Super Power Island. But if you missed out then, you can still get them in the eyeglasses shop on Spy Island!

14. Wild West Hero

All Poptropica Members who played the cattle-rustlin’ preview game for Wild West Island were granted this exclusive Wild West Hero outfit. But this wasn’t even the most rare item from that game!

13. Sunglasses

The sunglasses were briefly available on top of Pendulum’s lab on Time Tangled Island. The dark glasses will return, however! Players who get the Spy Island 3″ action figures will receive a code that will allow them to wear a Spy Agent costume that includes these killer shades.

To be continued tomorrow!

The 20 rarest items in Poptropica, part 3

We’re continuing our countdown of the 20 rarest Poptropica items.

12. Mech Pilot

For a limited time, Poptropica Members were given this Mech Pilot costume. Anyone can freely costume similar costume parts on Poptropica, but this specific costume is a rare one indeed.

11. Skullduggery Pirate

The Skullduggery Pirate was part of a special two-pack given to Members shortly before the debut of Skullduggery Island. Be on the lookout for two more Skullduggery-themed costumes, Captain Crimson and Captain Cobalt, when you get the Skullduggery Island 3″ figures. Speaking of Skullduggery Island…

10. Skullduggery Medallion

Another challenging Island, Skullduggery has seen fewer completions than most of the other Poptropica adventures. It’s not too hard, though — just keep working your way clockwise from one trading post to the next, and in no time you’ll have enough doubloons to buy the Phoenix Warbird!

9. Paper Kid

To celebrate the release of our Diary of a Wimpy Kid-themed Island, Wimpy Wonderland, all Poptropica Members got the “Paper Kid” costume. Unlike most costume cards, this one doubled as a special power. You can paperize anyone else you see, too!

To be continued tomorrow!

The 20 rarest items in Poptropica, part 4

We’re continuing our countdown of the 20 rarest items in Poptropica.

8. Woodstock Follower

This special item was available to Poptropica Members during the launch of Great Pumpkin Island. Snoopy’s pal, Woodstock, will follow you around anywhere you go!

7. Robin Hood Limited Edition

You can still find the standard-issue Robin Hood costume in the Poptropica store, but this limited edition was available for only a short time back in 2009.

6. Renegade Robot Limited Edition

Like the limited edition Robin Hood costume, the Renegade Robot was available in the Poptropica Store for one short week back in August of 2009.

5. Light Ninja

The most sought-after costume from those heady days of summer 2009, the Light Ninja lives on in the hearts and minds of Poptropicans everywhere.

Tomorrow: the 4 rarest Poptropica items!

The 20 rarest items in Poptropica, part 5

This is it. To celebrate the launch of our 20th Island, Shrink Ray Island, today we conclude our list of the 20 rarest items in Poptropica history.

4. Hypnotic

This dazzling costume was available for a short time by clicking on an otherwise unremarkable window in Early Poptropica.

3. Cryptids Nessie Hat

One of the hardest items to acquire in Poptropica’s history was the Nessie Hat during the sneak preview of Cryptids Island. Players could look through a viewfinder on the shores of Loch Ness, and those who spotted Nessie won this item!

2. Wunder Bubble Tonic

Unlike the Loch Ness viewfinder, roping cattle in the Wild West sneak preview wasn’t about luck. But it was incredibly difficult, and not many Poptropicans were able to wrangle all of the prizes from that game, including the final prize, Wunder Bubble Tonic.

1. 3rd Birthday Hat
To win the 3rd birthday hat, a Poptropican had to be incredibly lucky. First of all, you had to be in a common room during our 3rd birthday celebration last September. Next, you needed to see a special balloon appear, which most Poptropicans never did. And finally, you had to click on the balloon before you left the room! Those who made it were rewarded with the 3rd birthday hat, the rarest item in the history of Poptropica.

If you missed any of these rare items over the past 20 Poptropica Islands, never fear: there will be a lot more costumes and powers to come from the next 20 Islands — and beyond!

My Last Will, Written By Monkeys…

I’m sick… D: Really sick. I threw up 7 times. And I was gonna throw up more, but there wasn’t anything left for me to throw up. Anyway, take a look at this…

Where are my comics?

Some of you have noticed a glitch in the comics section of the Daily Pop. They’re not updating! Our team of trained monkeys is working overtime to fix the issue. We will let you know just as soon as it’s resolved.

Well, if monkeys can fix that, maybe they can write my Will in case I throw up my heart or something. Anyway, here it is:
Isabelle Amaya’s Last Will:
To happyzombie or whatever your current name is, I leave you my blog, and the secret candy stash in a purple box under my bed.
To pSophia, I leave you my closet, and everything in it.
To Selina, I leave you my fish tank, and I hope you take care of Goldie, Goldeen, Goldette, Gold, GoldyTheSecond, and GoldyTheThird.
To Brave Tomato, I leave you my bow and arrows, my secrets, my stuffed bunny that I sleep with, and my nightlight.
To Icy Comet, I leave you my money boxes with my money in them, and my lappytop.
To Friendly Dragon, I leave you my iPod, my books, my movies, my Wii, and my hot chocolate.
Anything else will go to The Museum Of Isabelle Amaya, which you guys will make, I trust.
If I die, I wante everyone to wear the brightest colors possible, and to have a party.

Note: This was posted in Super Thunder’s Blog, Icycomet’s Blog, and Friendly Dragon’s Blog, but it was all written by me, so it’s not plagarism.

Poptropica Toy Prizes

If you have purchased a poptropica toy, you’re probably really excited…until you see that code and realize that you don’t know how to get the prizes that come with your toy.  Well, don’t worry, because here’s the newest post on the Poptropica Creators’ Blog, telling how you can get those awesome prizes that come with your toys!

How to redeem the code from your Poptropica toys

We’re hearing that Poptropica toys are starting to show up on the shelves of Toys “R” Us stores all over the place! Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check them out in person. But you may be wondering how to use the code that comes with each toy, which gives your Poptropican cool new powers and costumes.

First, make sure you’re logged into your saved game. If you don’t yet have a saved game, create a new character, press the round “save” button, and create a username and password. Make sure to keep the username and password safe!

Next, you can enter your code in one of two places. When you log into Poptropica with an existing account, you can enter your code in the lower righthand part of the screen.

Or you can visit the Poptropica Store by pressing the star icon in the top right of your screen. The place to enter your code is located in the upper right.

The code works the same way in either place. Once you’ve redeemed it, go to your in-game inventory and select “store items” from the dropdown menu to use your new goodies.

Last, and most important: Enjoy!

Have you wondered about what prizes there are in the Shrink Shot game? Well, here’s your quick guide to what they can do!

For Non-Members and Members…

Crayons: You can select a color to colorize someone or yourself-(Ev-ery color of the rainbow, except Indigo)

Balloon: A blue balloon you can hold with a picture of– A shrink ray!

Soda Bottle: A bottle full of soda you hold, lay it down, and start clicking it for bubble action! (Press Spacebar to lay it down!)

Grape Bubble Gum: Just like the free pink bubblegum in the Poptropica Store, blow bubbles (Purple, of course!)

The First Two Upgrades: The Hard Helmet and Bounce Ball, you can customize these ugly outfits if you want to not in game, and they can help you in-game! You don’t need to customize them before game, they are just provided to you! 🙂

Members Only

The “Snow Globe” Prize: There is a special Gold Card power in there, I think it’s “Sparkle”, YOU TURN ALL SPARKLY! Oops, sorry. No fair I’m not a member! (You can also sparkle others, I think.)

The Last Three Upgrades: Propeller Hat, Spiked Hard Helmet, and Spiked Bounce Ball to do more amazing things and get the “Sparkle Prize!”

I’m not a member, but I would’ve gotten the grand prize if I was! Congrats to the members who did, though!

~Coolypurr, A.K.A. Maroon Ocean

Shrink Ray Island Preview

You can now go to Shrink Ray Island to get a preview of what the island will be like, and also to play a game and win prizes!  The basic idea of the game is that you shoot your Poptropican out of a cannon and you hit items to win points and prizes.  Points get you upgrades which give you a better chance of getting items.

That’s all for now.  If you haven’t checked Shrink Ray Island yet, then go on over to Poptropica and play Shrink Shot as much as possible!

YAY! Balloon Boy Returns!!!

Oh…  never mind…

Balloon Boy returns?

Not exactly. But don’t be surprised if you see more and more Poptropicans toting around this balloon in the days to come.

Those mean Creators!  I thought Balloon Boy was coming back…

Yay! I’m going to the bea- AAAH! Why am I a ball?!

Ok… I thought I was going to the beach… But no. I’m a beach ball now! *cries* Wait a second… now I’m not! It was just a costume! Yayayayay! I wonder why the Creators’ haven’t made a post yet. Usually they would’ve already tried to make any nonmember/creditless person bad, and force them to get the costume… Ah well. I’ve just posted this. This is what the costume look likes. It has three colors. It reminds me of one of my teachers….
