Lookin’ Cheesy

I just noticed that in Poptropolis Games, we get the cutest picture ever for doing the waterfall jump diving thingy. Sure, the picture is a little cheesy, but I just look so dang cute in it! And so do Brave Tomato and Icy Comet. Yes, I know it’s weird-stalkerish to go to each of their profiles and take a picture, but what? I’m not a stalker! *blushes awkwardly*

Brave Tomato:

Doesn’t her ponytail randomly flying out behind her, in her Black Flags uniform look epic?

Super Thunder (me):

Yes, I know, I still had my jacket and belt. I look fine though, I think my hair goes with my Pathfinders outfit. It’s one of those colors that doesn’t clash; it sort of goes together, even though they’re sort of opposite. Like pink goes good with green?

Icy Comet (who happens to be the same Icy Comet as the one in the header):

See, I’m not the only one who randomly mixed street clothes with tribe clothes! I know Icy Comet is a Seraphim because of her shirt, and because she practically mentioned it in every post. But notice that me and Brave Tomato are keeping our hair and clothes simple; to give us room to move in the Games. And here Icy Comet is looking completely fancy and pretty! I wish I knew how to dress pretty, and not get messy while playing in the mud. D:

So, to make this post not completely useless, there is news about the newest island, Wimpy Boardwalk. Beware, guys! The Cheese has returned!

Get a grip

Some of the boardwalk games on Wimpy Boardwalk have spectacular prizes that you’ll be thrilled to win — but maybe not this claw game. What is that?

A Forever Black Flag

Hmm, the Creators are posting the districts excuse me, the um, tribes, for the Hunger Games, and… I did it again, didn’t I? I mean Poptropolis Games. Kay? So, the newest tribe, in addition to Seraphim and Flying Squid (what were they thinking when they named a tribe that?), is…

Drumroll please. Yess…

Give it up for…

The Tribes of Poptropica: Black Flags

The next Poptropica tribe is…
Black Flags
This tribe intends to plant the flag of victory in the heart of Poptropolis — and we suspect they’ll stop at nothing to do it!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Uh, Black Flags. Yes. This makes me think of something pirate-y. I don’t know. Like Skullduggery. But Skullduggery wasn’t exactly the best island I’ve even done. No, it was more like… Possibly Counterfeit, or Cryptids? Yes, out of all the islands, these two are my favorites! Well, what can I say, I’m a strange kiddie.

What tribe is your tribe? Personally, none of them have rung a bell to me, but if I needed to, I suppose I’d go with Seraphim, ’cause it has a cool name. I know I’ve heard the word before, but I’m not quite sure where.

Every Moment, of Every Day, Forever…

… They will all watch you. THERE’S A 24-HOUR CAMERA TRAILING YOU. D: Watching your every move, slowly clicking away in the corner, and letting the whole world of Poptropica see what you did. Or what you didn’t do. Either way, it knows.

Your number 1 album

One of the new features that will be coming with Poptropica Friends is the photo album. It’s like your own virtual scrapbook of your adventures through Poptropica!
By playing through Islands, you’ll occasionally see a message that says “New Photo Added” when you get to an important part of the story. Then, when you visit your photo album, you’ll see snapshots showing you a new perspective of your character’s feats. Every Island has about four different photos. There are over 100 in total!
Even better: every time you earn a new photo, the outfit you were wearing at the time is recorded in the picture. Even if you change clothes, you can costumize from your photos later!
Wait, there’s more! If you’re looking through a friend’s photo album, you can costumize off of them, too. It’s like the number of possible costumes just went to infinity!

😮 Do you see that? They’ll ALL be able to see what you did do. Or what you didn’t do. Which is worse? If you get an embarrassing picture in an island, or if you don’t have any pictures because you didn’t finish an island?

Out of the woods… The first to come out are…

On the sidelines, thousands of nonmember Poptropians cheer loudly, awaiting the first finishers of Twisted Thicket. The thicket is jumbled and twisted, so dark that there seems to be no one in there. But, suddenly, the thicket comes to life, and the first finishers of Twisted Thicket burst forward, sporting their medallions.

Friday, April 13, 2012

Congratulations to the first 10 finishers of Twisted Thicket!

Many Poptropicans have already entered the dark woods of the Twisted Thicket and emerged to tell the tale. These 10 did it faster than anyone else.
1. Happy Walker
2. Prickly Cheetah
3. Bronze Owl
4. Angry Knuckle
5. Neat Gamer
6. Shiny Bones
7. Zany Bear
8. White Beetle
9. Smart Shark
10. Lone Ghost
Congratulations to everyone who has completed Twisted Thicket so far! We can’t wait to see a lot more of you untangle this twisted tale.

Well, those are the first to emerge! Congratulations to all the first ones, and everyone who has completed Twisted Thicket thus far!

I don’t “nose” about a nose

Super Thunder: Well, um, it’s April Fool’s Day and I don’t have a joke planned… So I’ll rely on the Creators’ joke to make this post awesome, kay?

Who nose what’s new in Poptropica?

We’re excited to announce the most groundbreaking, innovative feature in the history of Poptropica: Noses!
On Monday, we’ll be adding noses to every single character on Poptropica, whether you want one or not. Now, your Poptropican will be better than ever at sniffing out clues, stuffing the competition, and running up the score. Not since the introduction of the Costumizer or the removal of the Monster Carnival map icon have we made an update this momentous.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about this amazing new update. You will always remember April 1st as the day everything changed on Poptropica!

Do you see that? Noses! Heck no(se)! I don’t “nose” what you’re thinking, Creators, but lemme just say that us Poptropicans are too smart for you. Isn’t it so strange how you guys posted this on April Fool’s Day? And isn’t it strange that it won’t be available until tomorrow… Even though *today* is supposed to make history?
Well, nice try, but we’re simply too smart. THERE’S NO NOSES COMING TO POPTROPICA, I “NOSE”!
Yeah, I’ll stop with the stupid puns, I “nose” they suck.
Oh, hey, LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU THERE’S A GIANT, UM, PURPLE PUMPKIN THAT’S, UM, FLYING!
*no ones head turns*
Fine. Be like that.
~Super Thunder
Edit: This is Icy Comet interrupting ST’s post to tell all those people out there (like myself) who were worrying that the Creators tricked us into thinking that the putting the nose on the Poptropican thing was a joke, when it actually wasn’t, and they were dead serious and we were going to wake up the next morning to find that they had stuck noses on our Poptropicans’ faces, even though we actually thought it was a joke when it wasn’t, when we thought it was cause we thought that they would never actually do that, but it turned out that we were wrong and they actually did that even though they did…didn’t…I’m confused.  Anyway, I would like to tell anyone who worried about what I said up there, that they actually have nothing to worry about.  Because I checked on Poptropica, and our Poptropicans are still blissfully without a sniffer of any sort.  So you can stop your worrying now.  Yep…that’s about all I had to say.  That you can stop worrying now.  So, yeah.

See? No nose.

Pop, Pop, Pop!

Well, I never really, um, cared if Gretchen Grimlock, our Cryptids villainess, could touch her nose with her tongue (I was about to type “can touch her tongue with her nose), but, well, you can’t get everything you want in life, so the Creators told us anyway.

Pop quiz, hotshot

What awesome new features are coming to Poptropica very soon?
We’ll have the answer soon!
avatar image
 CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
Hmm. Fascinating. A thing that looks like a gorilla-potato hybrid can touch his nose with his tongue (I was gonna type the wrong thing again. :D), but Gretchen Grimlock can’t. Um, well okay. If you needed to tell me. Who knows? Maybe Gretchen threatened the Creators. Oh well.

It’s Finally Here… The Curse!

Don’t forget: Vampire’s Curse Island is open to all tomorrow!

The wait for non-Members is almost over. Vampire’s Curse Island will be available to everybody tomorrow. We’ll announce it the moment it happens right here in the Poptropica creators’ blog, so be sure to check in!

Wait, was that post completely nessecarry? Well, no probably not, but still, I felt the need to post it to spam up this blog.
Do you guys like hot chocolate? I just got informed that Spring is coming, so no chocolate for me. D:

Poptropica Can be Shamrocky, But McDonalds Can’t?

Latest Shamrock Shake:

Better, but not minty enough.

Anyway, thanks to Mighty Drummer for pointing this out to me: 2 new items in the Shamtropica… I mean, Poptropica Store!

Ha, I scored a shut-eye picture! So, that’s the costume, but there’s another new item!

Gum! Is it minty? Because I need to replace Shamrock Shakes.

So what do you think of the new items? Have the Creators made a spectacular addition to the Shamtropica… I mean, Poptropica (I’m hungry, okay?) store, or has it been an epic fail?

~Shamrock, I mean, Super Thunder

:O I’m So Proud of You Creators… You Said “Soonish”!

High five for talking like me!

*Crickets*

Well, like, fine then. See if I ever ask you for a high five again. Anyway, the Creators said “soonish”! Yay!

Poptropica in focus

We’re always working on new features for Poptropica. Here’s a sneak peek at one new project we’ve got going on.
What could it be? We’ll have more details for you — oh, let’s call it soonish.

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
I dunno why you have to slanty write “soonish” though. I write it just plain out and don’t give a blink.
You guys wanna know what’s a good sentence to avoid answering a teacher?
“Oh, um, well, I, uh, it’s just, that, like, well, I don’t, I mean, I do, but I still… I mean, like, yeah.”
^ Works like a charm.
Anyway, in this post, it looks like we have… A mechanical owlie. Merlin! And that little mouse that we captured in Astro Knights! It seems like just yesterday that I was riding in a pink rocket to save the princess… Ah, memories.
