Free…After You’ve Already Bought It…

So, you may or may not remember how the Creators made an app for Android devices and iOS devices called Poptropica Official Tips & Tricks.

Well, I honestly wasn’t really paying attention to the posts about this, cause I’m perfectly good with just using Google to find free guides online if I need a guide.  But, I’m pretty sure that most of the guides were 99 cents and there were a few free guides.

Well, if you love Poptropica, and you’ve gotten that app and bought the guides.  Brace yourself.  You’re about to be shocked.  Just remember to stay calm, it’s not the end of the world, and don’t throw your computer out the window.

Okay, here it is, the Creators added a guide for Twisted Thicket Island, which, by the way, is free.  And no, that’s not the shock.  You have to wait until after the picture to read what the shocker is.

Okay, so remember, the shock is for those of you who have bought the guides.  All of the other guides (the ones that you bought for 99 cents each), they have become free.

I know, the Creators tell you to spend a bunch of money for guides then, after you spend all of that dough, they make it free.  How mean is that.  And to make it even meaner they didn’t mention anything about returning your money.

I know you’re probably mad, but just remember that everyone makes mistakes.  Even perfect people like me (just kidding). 😉

Twisted Thicket Island Guide

Icy Comet’s Blog now has a guide for Twisted Thicket Island!  Click HERE to see it.

The guide was done by none other than moi, Icy Comet.  So yeah, just make sure you know that when you’re thinking about how awesome it is.

Also, you can go to the Guides page to see other great guides for any island that you are having trouble with.  Or, you can go to the Video Guides page to see some video/slideshow guides.

Always Have To Remind Us…

As always, the Creators have to rub the fact that some of us aren’t members in our faces.  Like doing a post that wasn’t really necessary just to remind us that Twisted Thicket island is released Thursday only to members and not to us, too.

Twisted Thicket this Thursday!

Here’s your friendly reminder that Early Access to Twisted Thicket will be available this Thursday to Poptropica Members.

Don’t forget, if you’re already a Member, you can visit the Poptropica Store today to pick up your Twisted Thicket gear pack! The Lumberjerk costume will only be available during Early Access, so don’t delay!

Notice how they call it the “friendly” reminder.  Friendly, hah!

…Wait a minute…

…I just realized something…

…Why am I hating on members when I just got membership myself…

😯

…Something tells me having membership is going to take a little getting used to…

A Costume, a Troll, and a Dryad

In case you haven’t heard, the Creators have announced that Twisted Thicket Island comes out next week on the 12th.

So, even though the island doesn’t come out until next week, the Creators have decided to break some rules and give members the Lumberjerk Costume, the Troll power, and the Dryad Follower a little early.

Twisted Thicket items now available in the Poptropica Store!

Poptropica Members may have another week to wait before you can play Twisted Thicket, but you can visit the Poptropica Store right now to pick up your exclusive Twisted Thicket gear! These new items include a Lumberjerk costume, a Troll look and power, and a Dryad follower.

All of these exciting Gold Cards are available for Poptropica Members, but you’ll have to act fast — the Lumberjerk costumes will only be available until the end of Early Access!

Not yet a Member? Find out how to get Membership today!

If you’re a non-member, you can relax.  The only thing you should really be jealous about in that pack of items is the Dryad Follower.  The rest is, well, okay…just okay.

In other news, the case of the missing countdown timer has been solved!  (If you have no idea what I’m talking about, just go to this post.  Oh, and start reading this blog more often. 😉 )  The timer has now been added to Poptropica’s homepage!

But, that’s not the only thing that has been added to Poptropica’s homepage.  This little icon was added, too.

Okay, non-members, now you can be jealous.  Yep, I was right when I thought that we would have to wait forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever for it to come out for everyone.

Countdown for Twisted Thicket Island…Or At Least it’s Supposed to Be…

The Creators have finally announced when Twisted Thicket Island comes out for Members.  That means that us non-members will only have to wait for eternity after that day for the island to be released to everybody.

When can you play Twisted Thicket?

Inquiring Poptropicans want to know, and now we’re happy to announce that Twisted Thicket will be available for Poptropica Members starting next Thursday, April 12.

You can follow along with the countdown on the Poptropica homepage, or check right here for the latest updates. You’ll be in the thick of things before you know it!

So, members, mark your calenders for the 12th!

Okay, so here’s what part of the post says: You can follow along with the countdown on the Poptropica homepage, or check right here for the latest updates. You’ll be in the thick of things before you know it!

So, you would think that means that the little countdown thingy is on Poptropica’s homepage, right?  Well, wrong.  Looks like the Creators forgot to add it or something, cause when you go to Poptropica, there’s no little timer thingy at all.

Oh well, leave it to the Creators to mess something up…

Tiny Little Dryads Grab You and Take Off With You In Their Clutches…

Yep.  That’s about all of what the new post on the Creators’ Blog says.  I could just leave the title there, and not say anything else and you would understand about everything that you could understand from reading the post.  But since I’m such a nice person, I won’t make you suffer through my confusingness any longer and I’ll let you see the Creators’ post.

Up, up, and away!

Some of the inhabitants of Twisted Thicket can be pretty prickly!

Not very original for Poptropica, but sure.  It works.  Sort of.

Ah, Yes, Another Random Post Courtesy of the Creators

The Creators have two talents.  One, making an…okay (all right, better than okay) game like Poptropica.  Two, making really random posts.  When it comes to making posts that are random, already tell us about something we know about, and are probably just put up there to make it seem like the Creators are more active than they really are, nobody beats the Creators.  Except maybe me, of course.

Anyway, today’s, well actually yesterday’s, random and useless post is a post reminding us that Vampire’s Curse Island comes out for non-members Thursday…as if we could forget, anyway…

Only a few days left until Vampire’s Curse Island is open to all!

The headline sort of says it all, doesn’t it? Vampire’s Curse Island will be available to everyone this Thursday! At last, non-Members will be able to explore the shadowy corners of Count Bram’s castle, and seek to end the curse of vampirism.

But don’t forget: the Members-only Vampire Count costume is only available until this Thursday!

Always have to remind you that there’s such a thing as Membership, don’t they.

One, more thing before I leave.  I would just like to say that the Creators still haven’t fixed that glitch thingy that Brave Tomato pointed out to me.  The glitch thingy is, when you go to the Island Tour place and you scroll down that list of islands that they have there, the symbol for Time Tangled Island is the same as the symbol for Twisted Thicket Island.

Twisted Thicket name & symbol

Time Tangled name & symbol

Weird, right?

Well, on that random note, I think I’ll leave you now.

*walks off of stage that somehow appeared while the post was being written*

The Twisted Thicket Island Now Has an Info Page…Just Watch Out For Thorns…

Twisted Thicket Island now has an info-page! 😀  YAY!!!!!  NO MORE HAVING TO WAIT IN SUSPENSE FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER!

Sorry, it’s hard to stop writing “AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER”.  It’s sort of addicting…

So, as you probably guessed, cause they always have it and why would they stop right now, the Creators put the storyline of Twisted Thicket Island on the info-page.  And now you can read it and you won’t have to wait any longer to know what the island is about.  Yep, that’s right, no more having to wait FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER!

Come on, Icy Comet, you’re a civilized person, start acting like one.

Sorry about that.  You don’t know how hard it is to stop when you start writing…I’m not going to start writing it.  I probably won’t ever AND EVER AND EVER AND be able to stop….

Anyway, hopefully that won’t happen again and this will end like a normal post.  But don’t worry, it’s not ending yet.  This post won’t end FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER!

Here’s what the info-page says about the storyline of Twisted Thicket Island:

In case you can’t read it, this is what the picture says: A quiet seaside village has been attacked by mysterious beings that dwell nearby.  You are chosen to enter the dark woods and confront the creatures.  But beyond the forest’s edge lies a world of magic and danger, where the only thing more twisted than the tree trunks is the truth.

Okay, when I was typing that, it was actually the first time that I read the whole thing.  And let me just say, OMG it sounds so amazing and it’s worth waiting FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER for!

Before I go back to typing “FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER”, I’m going to finish this post if it kills me.  Here’s what the info-page says about the members-only bonus quest:

Here’s what the picture says in case you can’t read it: Poptropica Members can play a bonus quest after completing Twisted Thicket.  The woodland’s magical essence has scattered across the land.  It’s up to you to use your newfound powers to collect the missing shards and return them to their source.

Twisted Thicket, like S.O.S. Island and Vampire’s Curse Island has some members-only items.  Hopefully the items will be better than the ones for Vampire’s Curse Island…

In case you can’t read it, this is what the picture says:  Members get an additional Twisted Thicket gear pack, which includes Lumberjerk Costume, Troll Power, and Dryad Follower.  The Lumberjerk Costume is ONLY available during Early Access!

Yay for troll power, which I have no idea what it would do; the little dryad follower thing, which I though was a fairy; and…and…a Lumberjerk costume?  Uh…Creators…couldn’t you have picked a name that sounds a bit…um…nicer?

Like all info-pages, Twisted Thicket’s info-page has some pictures of the island.  So, here are the pictures that were on Twisted Thicket’s info-page:

Twisted Thicket Island looks…like…it…is…going…to…be…EPIC!!!!!!  And it’s worth waiting FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER for!!!!

Better hurry up and finish this post before I go completely wacko.

Anyway, like Vampire’s Curse Island, there’s a free wallpaper and a free printable poster that you can download on the info-page.

Before I go and start writing “FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER” again, I just wanted to show you something.

Twisted Thicket Island’s icon is our little fairy buddy!  And yes, I know that the correct term is a “dryad”, but this little guy will always be a fairy to me.

Now, since the post is over, I don’t see any point in trying to control myself anymore.  You may leave when ever you get tired of hearing (or is it reading) me say FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER……………

A New Island With a Strange Name And a Costume for You Pie Lovers

The Creators have finally announced what the new island is going to be called.  And before I tell you, let me just say that this island wins the prize for weirdest island name ever.

You ready to hear what it is called?  You’re never going to be able to guess!  Okay, here it is………

The

New

Poptropica Island

Is Called…

Twisted Thicket Island!

Sorry if you had to scroll down a lot to read that!  I was just excitedHere’s what the Creators have to say about Twisted Thicket Island:

Announcing the next Poptropica Island!

We’re pleased to announce the next Poptropica Island: Twisted Thicket!

Twisted Thicket is a journey into the heart of an enchanted forest. Who knows what dangers await? We’ll have much more information about this new adventure soon!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Hopefully we’ll learn more about Twisted Thicket Island soon!

Next up is something that I’m sure you pie freaks who go around saying “I like pie!” all the time will like.

There are three new costumes in the Poptropica Store, but they’re not just any costumes.  Although I don’t personally like them, I’m sure that there’s somebody out there who will like them…somewhere…

Happy Pi Day!

Today, 3/14, is also known as “Pi Day,” because the famous number Pi starts with the digits 3.14. Pi is important for a lot of reasons, one of which is that it allows you to calculate the area of a circle.

But there’s another kind of circular pie we like even more, and that’s why we’ve just released three new costumes to the Poptropica Store. Pick your choice of Cherry Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, and Mud Pie to show your pride this Pi Day.

Visit Poptropica now to get your pie costumes!

Here are some pictures of the costumes:

There’s just one think I don’t understand.  Why is there “Sweet as Pie” in the costumes title?  I mean, that’s not an expression or anything.  Or is it?

Edit: Here’s a picture from the Poptropica Homepage that for some reason, no idea why, looks really funny to me.
