Daily Pop Sneak Peeks #17

There have been a lot of really cool sneak peeks added to Daily Pop recently. Some seem to be for the upcoming Charlie and the Chocolate Factory island, others look like they are for a possible city-themed island, and others I can’t figure out what they’re for. So, let’s take a look at them!

Rollin On The River- Concept art for an upcoming action scene.

I think this might be for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory island. I never saw the movies or read the book, but isn’t there supposed to be a river scene? Or maybe that was just my imagination. But, I don’t know, this just seems to fit in with some previous sneak peeks for this island.

To The Podium- The star of the show, coming soon.

I think this one’s for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well. Those colors seem to be Charlie-and-the-Chocolate-Factory-ish.

Go Nuts- But only go nuts inside the nut room, please.

Definitely Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. See the “W” above the sign and on the door?

When The Bough Breaks- It is totally delicious.

The broken branch looks like it could be the same broken branch as the one in the first sneak peek. And also there are lollipops coming up out of the ground, so I’m going to have to say Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Silver Screen- It’s one of our favorite famous monsters of filmland.

Ah, thank you! Finally something that’s not Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I got tired of writing that. Anyway, this looks like a movie theater. The description says “one of our favorite famous monsters”. The thing on the screen must be a monster. So far the only monster I’ve thought of is Frankenstein. But I don’t know if that would be it…

Go Nuts- Nothing out of the ordinary here, no sir.

Hmm…. I don’t know what to think about this one. It looks like the completed version of a previous sneak peek (see this post). It looks like it belongs in the city-themed island, but why would it have the same name as one of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sneak peeks? Is that a glitch or mistake, or is that supposed to be some kind of a hint? Ugh, the suspense is killing me!

Disco Inferno- Simmer down now.

I think this is either for a new character or for a costume. If it’s for a costume, I think I would like the one on the left best. Although, I could definitely see my Poptropican wearing the one on the right’s headphones.

Containment- If it fits, it ships.

This might be for the city-themed island. Or it might be for something else. It’s hard to tell.

Smooth Move- You’ll be berry glad you came.

I’m guessing that this one’s for the city-themed island. Although, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Strawberry Shortcake when I read the “The Berry Delicious Smoothie Shop” sign in the picture and the “You’ll be berry glad you came” description. At the top of the picture there’s a sign that says “M something Corp”, I couldn’t read the middle part of the sign. I don’t know, but it seems like the city-themed island has a lot to do with food, so that makes me think that maybe, possibly, the city-themed island and the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory island might be the same. Or at least maybe related. Of course that’s just a guess. I don’t know if there’s a city in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or not.

Apartment Hunter- Is this your home, sweet home?

This one looks like a room that we might see in future islands. It’s hard to say what kind of island I think this would be for. It could really be in any island.

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve just added the guide to Super Villain Island! The guide was written by Samwow5, so thanks so much to him for letting me use his guide! Click HERE to see the guide!

Super Villain Island Is Out For Members!

Super Villain is out for members! Are you ready to figure out what made the most infamous villains go bad? Ready to enter Binary Bard, Black Widow, Dr. Hare, and Captain Crawfish’s dreams? You better be. Cause it’s time to defeat some baddies!

If you’re a member, it comes out for you on October 18th. That’s not too bad, though I’m sure it’s going to be really hard to wait!

Countdown to an Island, Applebee’s, and Another Awesome Trailer (And More)

A lot has happened in Poptropica recently, and I’m super late posting about all of it. I’m sorry about that! Life just sort of took over for awhile.

But, now I’ve got it back under control now (sort of) and I’m going to start being more regular about posts (don’t take my word for that).

Anyway, like I said, a lot has happened recently, so this is going to be one big post.

First off, the release date for Super Villain Island has been announced for members! It is scheduled to come out on September 27th! That’s a week from yesterday, so don’t forget to mark you calenders for that, members! In the words of Dr. Hare: “Get ready for the Poptropica adventure of your dreams — or maybe your nightmares…”. If you’re not a member, be sure to get membership if you want to play Super Villain Island right when it comes out, or if you want the Night Hare costume, which is members-only and only available during Super Villain’s early release period. Don’t forget that the Bonus Quest is also for members only.

Let’s stop talking about Super Villain Island for a second. Yeah, I know it’s hard not to, but we’ll come back to it.

A little while back, Poptropica was…was…was…was featured…well that doesn’t sound right, but we’ll go with that anyway. A little while back, Poptropica was featured in Applebee’s restaurants. Basically you could go there, get something to eat off of the kid’s menu, and get a toy or something. I’m not quite sure what you would get, cause I never went there. But you’ve got the idea.

I guess Applebee’s really liked them or something, because Poptropica has returned to those restaurants!

“Arr” you hungry for a good time?

We have two pieces of news today that are so exciting that I don’t know which one to share first. Let’s see… eenie, meanie, miney, moe… All right, got it.

Poptropica is back at Applebee’s! From now until November 10, when your family eats at a participating Applebee’s restaurant, you’ll get a new Poptropica activity book that will keep you entertained even when the adults start talking about boring stuff. Plus, each menu has a special code that you can enter to get an Applebee’s-themed costume and power for your Poptropican!

The second bit of important news: Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Do your old pal Captain Crawfish a favor and spend the rest of the day rolling your Rs and calling for grog.

Off ye go, mateys!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

The code that you can find on the menu will get you a pair of glasses shaped like apples. You’ll also get an apple that you can hold.

If you press the spacebar while wearing these, it will make apples rain down from the sky.

Now, back to Super Villain Island. There’s two more things to say about this up and coming awesomely scary island.

First, is that the Creators have added a countdown timer for Super Villain Island to Poptropica’s homepage.

Also, the Creators released the trailer for Super Villain Island today!

I really like this trailer, it looks so awesome. I can’t wait for Super Villain Island, either! I’m so excited, I could just scream!

And, now, last but not least, you probably know that Poptropica’s celebration has been going on for awhile now. Well, a link to a page about Poptropica’s Fifth Birthday has been added to Poptropica’s homepage.

The page basically talks about all the stuff that we’ve already told you about. About the 5th birthday balloon in the common rooms, and about the free balloon from the Poptropica Store. But there is one thing on the page that I didn’t know about.

The picture says: Members Only Exclusive! Did you miss your chance to complete a “Members Only” island set in the Poptropica Store? Now’s your chance to make the set complete! In September, we will be re-releasing ultra-rare costumes and powers in the Poptropica Store!

Awesome! So, if your a member, make sure that you get those costumes and powers before September is over! Or, if you’re anything like me, before you forget!

It’s time for another Daily Pop Sneak Peeks! …Well, since I can’t think of anything to say, let’s just go ahead and get started!

Aw, Nuts- Nuts of all shapes and sizes!

TV Party- We’ve got nothing better to do…

Pull My Leg- This is looking like a wheel of misfortune.

A-Maze-Ing- The magistrate made it all the way to the end, but can you?

Camera Shy- It almost looks like an alien invader.

Dogfight- Never in the history of chocolate have so many owed so much to so few.

Panel Discussion- Best be sure before you press that button.

Breakdown- Looks like a bad neighborhood.

Main Squeeze- Get ready to be put through the ringer.

Deep Scan- The Ego has landed.

Deep and Dark- There’s nothing sweet about this dangerous place.

Sleep Now- Now let’s get out of this gas-filled hallway before we all suffocate.

In Outline- We only need the broad strokes when laying out scenes.

Cup of Joe- I like my coffee like I like my comedy: black.

Super Villain Members Only Bonus Items

I know, I know, terrible title.

The Members only Bonus Items for Super Villain Island have come to the Poptropica Store!

The three items are the Night Hare costume, the Evil Henchmen power, and the Sleeping Powder power.

The Night Hare costume looks pretty much like Dr. Hare’s costume, except yours is a light blue color instead of pink.

So, when I looked at the Evil Henchmen power, I thought that those were follower things. Which I would have liked, cause I personally thought that that little robot mouse was pretty cute. But, unfortunately, the Creators must have thought that having a cute little mouse like that follow you wasn’t a good idea.

When you activate this item, it makes a bunch of rabbits, spiders, mice, or shrimp (it’s random) fall from the sky and then walk/crawl away.

And, finally, the Sleeping Powder power makes all the Poptropicans around you fall asleep.

…Or, in this guy’s case, it makes you hold your head funny and walk around with your eyes open like nothing was wrong…

Remember, if you want the Night Hare costume, make sure that you get it before Super Villain Island comes out to non-members. Although, I don’t know why I’m warning you about this right now, considering Super Villain Island hasn’t even come out for members yet.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- As an Island

Roald Dahl day was yesterday. Am I the only person who didn’t know that?

The Creators did a post yesterday, talking about Roald Dahl and Roald Dahl day. And, in that post they announced what the next island is going to be.

Happy Roald Dahl day!

Today is Roald Dahl Day — the birthday of one of the greatest storytellers of all time! Roald Dahl was the man behind classic stories like James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, The BFG, and a whole lot more, including our favorite, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

In fact, we love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory so much that we’ve decided to make a whole Island out of it! Consider this our Roald Dahl Day gift to you.

We’ll have a lot more to tell you about our latest and greatest project in the weeks to come!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

I’m not sure how it happened, but, somehow, I never watched either of the movies based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I didn’t read the book, either. So I’m pretty much clueless as to the storyline of this island. But, that doesn’t matter, cause it looks like it’s going to be good regardless of the fact that I know nothing about this story.

Hopefully we’ll get more info about this new island soon!
