As you probably know, after they beat Poptropolis Games, members get to play a members-only bonus quest. And, non-members, don’t feel too bad. The bonus quest is pretty boring. All you do is wrestle with some old ancient warrior dude who thinks he can steal your title as champion. You beat him. He’s gone. Nothing amazing. Even the costume that you get from it is pretty horrible.
Warriors, come out and play!
Poptropica Members who have completed the bonus quest on Poptropolis Games have been rewarded with a cool prize — an outfit as old as the city of Poptropolis itself! Winning the gold medallion is one thing. Toppling an ancient warrior who has been stewing at the bottom of the ocean for the past century, well, that’s quite another.
Can you become the supreme champion of Poptropica? Become a Member today to be among the first to play Poptropolis Games!
CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
Yeah, like I said, pretty horrible.
Anyway, earlier today, LP did a post announcing the new island that’s coming to Poptropica! So, with the new island having been announced, I thought that I would do my traditional tour of the info page thing.
When I first heard the name of the island it reminded me of Monopoly. Isn’t there a property called Boardwalk? …Or is that just my imagination?
Anyway, here’s the description of the island.
Here’s what the picture says, in case you can’t read it: It’s summertime, but the living ain’t easy for a wimpy kid. When Greg and Rowley visit the boardwalk for a relaxing beach vacation, they never expect to run afoul of thieving teens, ravenous seagulls, and crooked carnies. Only you can clean up Greg’s mess before vacation ends!
It’s always up to us to save the day. Never can do it themselves for once, can they?
And, following the tradition that the recent past islands have started, there’s a members-only bonus quest at the end of the island.
Here’s what the picture says: Before you go, there’s one more task to be done. A devious gamer has left an embarrassing message about Greg on a high-score list in the arcade. Can you master the game, save Greg’s dignity, and become the boardwalk champion?
Here’s the little picture that went with the description of the bonus quest:
Also members get a Wimpy Boardwalk gear pack. The gear pack is made up of the Beachgoer costume, the Heat Wave power, and the Beach Umbrella item.
There are also some pictures of the island on the info-page.
There’s no release date on the info-page, but it does say that it’s coming out this summer. Very specific, right?
